Mathematics

Mathematics

Our goal is to foster our students lifelong appreciation of Mathematics.  To do this we strive to develop creative problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, teamwork, discipline and organization which serve as a solid foundation for college mathematics and adult life.  We also foster the students’ abilities to apply mathematics to real-world situations, to use appropriate technology  and  to communicate mathematically.   We provide a curriculum that is designed to challenge our students to grow in their understanding of mathematical skills and concepts. Every student is required to own a TI-84 graphing calculator for use in every mathematics course. Other technology is used as appropriate. Reading and problem solving are emphasized throughout all courses.
